2024 ROAR Portfolio January

NEW

Our January 2024 Roar Portfolio includes two image packs, two films, three thought-provoking articles, and a book review.  Receive over 75 minutes of new video and 276 images.

Our films include a fully naked video guide to overcoming your body shame.  Thomas and D'Paul spend nearly twenty minutes totally naked on a chilly morning in the California desert to show us how we can all overcome our body shame.

We love this film and recommend the two companion articles that highlight how media and social media promote unrealistic ideals of what our bodies should look like and the pressures and insecurities that most of us face as a result.

We then bring you our first-ever podcast!  Lucas and Angus meet up in person in London to do something that we had been talking about doing for years.  We hope you will enjoy this new format - we are planning to create a lot more podcasts, and we would welcome your thoughts on who you would like to hear from and what you would like us to discuss.

Our two image sets come from our shoot in Toledo last summer.  The first revisits our ever-popular calendar theme of the ‘ team line-up’, this time the American football team from Madrid. The second set features our international crew of participants as they unite around the body language of yoga with experienced yoga master Carlos.

In “We Are Here, But Are We Queer?”, we explore the history and evolution of a term that some find offensive and others find liberating.

We also review "The Patriarchs", a recent book by Angela Saina that delves into the world of men and power, examining how patriarchal structures have shaped societies and the male identity throughout history.  We take a deep dive to give you our take!
